Walmart releases its Black Friday ad for holiday shoppers

Many retailers offer Black Friday deals both in store and online, with some launching deals earlier in order to beat rivals.

Best Buy has released its Black Friday ad, featuring deals on gaming systems, televisions, drones, cameras and other high-tech gadgets.

The retailer has also introduced 18 Black Friday deals that are available starting today online. The leaked $199 Sony PS4 Slim 1TB Spider-man Bundle is also on the cover.

Walmart is open all day Thanksgiving and will kick off its Black Friday deals on Thursday at 6 p.m. local time -two hours earlier than previous year. "It is the biggest shopping and the best shopping day of the year", said Walmart's chief merchandising officer Steve Bratspies during a phone call with reporters. Free coffee and Christmas cookies will be available to the courageous souls who show up - though most of Walmart's Black Friday deals will come online the evening before, at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Holiday sales are seen increasing 5.8 percent this year and surpassing $1 trillion for the first time, according to researcher eMarketer.

On Thursday, Walmart published its 2018 Black Friday ad, which is full of wonderful tech deals, including DVDs for less than $2, Blu-ray players and video projectors for under $50, a 40-inch TV for under $100, and more. Stores will open again on Friday morning at 7 a.m.
