Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham Hotspur - Football Match Report

The 25-year-old netted his 150th goal for Spurs in a Champions League win over PSV midweek and has put to bed any doubts about his form following a five-match run without a goal early in the season.

A header from close range was enough to give Tottenham the three points under the rain in London.

Tottenham will look to put the pressure on the league leaders with a win when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening.

It is fair to say that Spurs have produced few impressive performances this term, yet they made sure fourth spot in the table will remain theirs for the time being without playing particularly well.

Despite the injury problems, which have also seen Victor Wanyama, Danny Rose and Jan Vertonghen spend time out, Spurs have recorded their best-ever Premier League start, with eight wins from 11 games.

Crystal Palace possible XI: Hennessey, Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Sakho, Van Aanholt, McArthur, Kouyate, Milivojevic, Meyer, Zaha, Townsend.

What's Next for DACA? Maybe the Supreme Court
Trump's action sparked an outcry from immigration advocates, business groups, colleges and some religious leaders. The ruling was the first by a federal appellate court to review the merits of the decision to rescind DACA.

Mismanagement of forests to blame for California fires
Some 95,000 residents have been evacuated in Ventura County alone, the county's fire department said on Twitter on Friday night. Singer Cher, who has had a house in Malibu since 1972, also wrote: "I'm anxious about my house, but there is nothing I can do".

Minnesota Timberwolves trading Jimmy Butler to Philadelphia 76ers
As I wrote in October , the 76ers needed to be aggressive in Butler trade talks as he reportedly had "eyes for them". Charania is reporting that the Sixers and Timberwolves will have a trade call on Monday to finalize the deal.

Mauricio Pochettino has described Harry Kane as an "assassin" in front of goal, as he reflected on the striker's enduring finishing excellence and the tendency of English football fans to lurch from one extreme to the other in their analysis of England players. Subs: Kelly 6, Schlupp 7, Sorloth 4. Subs: Aurier 6, Son 6, Winks 5.

With Tottenham and Manchester United up next for Palace, on top of meetings with Man City and Chelsea in December, Hodgson needs his side to turn their so-called promising displays into all three points if they are to avoid dropping below the dotted line. Kane heads goalwards from a corner, it's blocked and loops up in the air and while the Palace players are all static it's Foyth who reacts quickest to nod home.

Only in the 2011/12 season have Tottenham had more Premier League points after 12 games. They've won just two matches, one for each bank of four - and both of those were away, which is a surprise for a team with arguably the best home support in the league. It's been a bit of a odd season for Spurs, too.

The defeat means Palace, who have had a punishing run of fixtures, are experiencing their worst home start to a season for 21 years, with only goal difference keeping them out of the drop zone.

Spurs have won the last seven league meetings between these two clubs.
