Oleksandr Usyk eyes heavyweights after breaking Tony Bellew

During his amateur days, Usyk managed to bag himself multiple medals, including Gold medals in the European Championships, the World Championships, and the London 2012 Olympics, before leaving the amateur ranks with a record of 335 wins and only 15 defeats.

It's time to include Usyk in the conversation as the world's best pound-for-pound fighter, along with Terence Crawford, Vasyl Lomachenko and Errol Spence Jr.

Even Ian Wright offered his own warm praise: 'Like I said to my mates, as long as he gets out of that ring smiling, he's won. Heading into the eighth round Bellew was beginning to slow dramatically and Usyk took full advantage as Bellew failed to get his guard up when tight against the ropes and Usyk unleashed a hammer left hook which caught the "Bomber" flush and the Scouser crashed to the canvas.

Wilder, too, had great difficulty when Luis Ortiz used his boxing skills in their March fight.

Wilson's 23-yard touchdown pass to Lockett with 4:20 left in the third quarter gave the Seahawks their final lead, 21-20. Seattle's decision to call a surprise onside kick down 26-24 with under 10 minutes remaining ended up costing them.

"I can never see him shock a real heavyweight, maybe his movement to some lazy heavyweight, but as a heavyweight, you close it down, nullify it, and beat him up, rough him up".

In a fight that was more evenly matched than most had expected, Bellew was ahead 67-66 68-65 on two of the scorecards and level 67-67 on the third going into the decisive round after coming out fighting from the start. He added: "The only thing to say is: I just want to disappear, please leave me alone". No one who knows me calls me Tony, I've always been Anthony to them. Just accept it. You come up against great people in life and sometimes you lose.

Former world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis said he had nothing but respect for Bellew and congratulated Usyk on a spectacular win. "He's a great fighter, the best I've ever fought". He's slick and strong. "Anyone who faces him is in trouble". Bellew failed on the biggest stage at light-heavyweight but proved a different animal at cruiserweight and in his two fights in the blue riband heavyweight division.

I'm a world class fighter.
