Burger King offers penny Whoppers at McDonald's

In a ballsy bit of fast food schadenfreude, Burger King is now selling Whoppers for a penny.

All you have to do is get within about 600 feet of a McDonald's and use Burger King's "BK" app to order a Whopper. All you have to do is drive near a McDonald's and use the Burger King app.

The fast food giant announced Wednesday that it's offering one-cent Whoppers to anyone who is standing near a McDonald's restaurant.

But in fact the Twitter account was heading to the nearest McDonald's to unlock the one-cent Whopper after downloading the mobile app.

The deal starts Tuesday and runs through December 12th. The Whopper house has offered fans a very very special deal on their burgers but they can only retrieve it when they are within at least 600 ft from a McDonald's, really.

No, you won't actually buy the burger at a McDonald's.
