Bethesda's support website leaks Fallout 76 customer info

KitGuru Says: This is a lot of hassle for Fallout 76 Power Armour Edition owners to go through to get a bag that was initially advertised to them.

In a statement posted on Twitter, Bethesda admitted that its Customer Support website "experienced an error" on December 5 that resulted in Support tickets being able to be viewed by anyone. The details shared included screenshots, names, and addresses among other things.

This was first brought to light by @JesscaTracy9 on Twitter.

In addition, the fact that numerous changes appeared to increase the amount of busy work in the game rather than reduce it, and were also accompanied by a litany of new bugs and glitches, made the patch that was supposed to feel like the beginning of a long road to redemption feel more like one step forward, one step back.

This is not good for people who have also filed a support ticket, as it means anyone can possibly see their personal data, putting them in danger.

"Since today's maintenance will be addressing a service issue, there will be no patch notes to share once downtime is complete". Hopefully, Bethesda will rectify this soon or else they may be dealing with some legal trouble.

Numerous leaked complaints were regarding the cheap nylon bag that Bethesda included in the $200 Fallout 76 Power Edition, which replaced the advertised canvas version. There was no prior warning of this. The latter turned out to be a nylon replacement, so Bethesda eventually announced that it would upgrade the bags to canvas.

If you submitted a support ticket last night, there's a chance you'd be given full access to other people's tickets.

Bethesda's PR department must be having a nightmare.

They thought they had the last issue.
