However, the search giant just launched two handsets, Pixel 3 and 3XL, and later confirmed that there is no "affordable" version of the Pixel 3 in the making.

According to sources speaking to Android Police, the phones will be announced and then sold through US Carrier Verizon, one of the largest carriers in the US, in "Spring" of 2019.

It is not for sure why Google wants to launch the "Lite" version of Pixel 3 in the USA only. Few reports suggest that both these handsets are expected to be showcased in the second quarter of 2019 and they will be available via Verizon.

The launch information of the Pixel 3 Lite and the Pixel 3 XL Lite comes from sources close Android Police.

At the moment, AP says it doesn't have an exact launch date, nor does it have any pricing information. These phones were the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL. The last mid-range device launched by Google was in the Nexus line up - Nexus 5.

While images of the duo have been revealed, specifications are still not set in stone.

We've heard rumors of Lite versions of the Pixel 3 family in the past, and now we're receiving even more chatter regarding the alleged smartphones. Both are said to be powered by either a Snapdragon 670 or Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform, and come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage.

Given that these will be lower-priced entries into the Pixel family, you won't find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor that now powers the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The report added that the smartphone will be backed by a 2915mAh battery. The Pixel 3 Lite duo will have to battle for attention.
