Disneyland raises cost of some tickets by 25%

As reported by the Associated Press, the cheapest single-day ticket for a "low-demand" day in the Anaheim park will now cost you triple digits for the first time - $104.

Disney's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attractions (show in construction) will feature a to-scale Millennium Falcon replica, in a project believe to have cost $1 billion.

Of course, none of those prices include the cost of Mickey ears, ice cream cones and other items that make a day at Disney complete. Tickets for regular- and peak-demand days are more.

Disney representatives said that more days will be blocked out in 2019 for most annual passholders than they were past year.

The price of admission to get into the Magic Kingdom has gone up again. Disneyland recently announced savings for Southern California residents purchasing 3-day passes.

According to the company, the cost to park is now $25, up from $20. "I don't expect to go to Disneyland anytime in the near future".

Disneyland has been experimenting with ticket pricing to spread attendance from peak periods to slower times of the year.

Massive crowds are expected at both Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World when the Star Wars expansion opens (summer for Disneyland and fall for Disney World).

Less than a year ago, prices were raised by up to 18 percent.
