Foxx said she found the claims in docuseries disturbing.

Officials confirm they have received calls after Foxx's plea.

In May of a year ago, R. Kelly's former manager James Mason had allegedly threatened to murder the father of Joycelyn Savage, one of the singer's accusers. Investigators have made contact with the family of Asante McGee and the attorney for the family of Jocelyn Savage, two of the women who were profiled in the film.

She said she has been in contact with two concerned families of people who have had contact with Kelly in Cook County in the last couple of years.

The pop star took to social media Wednesday night to express her solidarity with Kelly's alleged victims while offering insight into why she worked with him on the 2013 track titled "Do What U Want (With My Body)", which has faced renewed scrutiny in light of its lyrics, especially within the context of the allegations against Kelly.

Joycelyn Savage has denied being held against her will. He also said it was inappropriate for a state's attorney to characterize allegations she'd seen on TV, prior to charges or even an investigation. His albums continued to top charts while he was on trial for child pornography, and many of his hit songs, like "I Believe I Can Fly" and "Ignition (Remix)", are still played widely.
