Oakland A's expect Kyler Murray to declare for National Football League draft

Oakland A's expect Kyler Murray to declare for National Football League draft

Kyler Murray #1 of the Oklahoma Sooners reacts in the fourth quarter during the College Football Playoff Semifinal against the Alabama Crimson Tide at the Capital One Orange Bowl at Hard Rock Stadium on December 29, 2018 in Miami, Florida.

Murray will have to return his signing bonus to the A's if he decides to play football, which is reportedly what he's leaning towards.

The Oakland Athletics expect dual-sport sensation Kyler Murray to declare for the NFL Draft, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Murray's potential declaration for the NFL draft doesn't mean he'll choose to play football over baseball, but it gives Murray the extra option.

Murray's agent Scott Boras was quoted in the Chronicle's story, saying "When you win the Heisman Trophy, you're going to have a lot of information come to you to be looked at", Boras said at the winter meetings in Las Vegas.

She shared that on her new reality series, one of VIP hosts is bisexual and "people were kind of mean to him about that. "I was the first one who was like, that came out about it, really, for my age", she continued.

That move would not lock Murray into either sport at this point, but does indicate he may be rethinking his future. "All I know is Kyler has a tremendous opportunity to be a great baseball player and he knows that".

Per the Chronicle, Murray's decision to enter the National Football League draft does not guarantee that he will reject his $4.66 mililion deal with the A's outright.

Good news, Kliff: You have the first pick. Seems like Kingsbury will have his chance to put his money where his mouth is and take Murray.

"He'll be a first round pick", said one GM in a text to Mike Florio.

The Cardinals may have taken Josh Rosen at quarterback previous year, but if Kingsbury believes in Murray that much, they should take him all the way and just trade Rosen. Kingsbury was sacked by Texas Tech after three straight losing seasons, and he was hired as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, who just so happen to have the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft.
