Amazon Launches Free Streaming Service ‘IMDb Freedive’

Amazon Launches Free Streaming Service ‘IMDb Freedive’

There's another new free streaming video service on the market, and this one is from Amazon.

The service though at least initially, doesn't offer as much variety or the latest content that Amazon Prime subscribers get, so anyone who subscribes to Amazon and is perhaps feeling ripped off by the news, need not feel that way as this service will focus mostly on older, classic movies and TV shows for now. And now it appears that the movie database giant is also getting down to the movie streaming business.

The channel is available starting today in the United States on IMDb's website and on Amazon Fire TV devices. From the titles that it lists, you can enjoy plenty of TV shows, from big sci-fi series like Fringe, Quantum Leap and Heroes, to some reality TV in the form of The Bachelor, Duck Dynasty and Kitchen Nightmares. Amazon and IMDb have said they plan to expand the range, as well as rotate out content.

Freedive for now is a USA -only service and can be accessed from the IMDB website and, naturally, from all Amazon Fire TV devices. What's more, customers can use an additional program called X-Ray, which, in true IMDb fashion, supplements the TV shows and films with trivia, information about the cast and crew, soundtracks and more.

Ramsey set to cash in with Juventus move
This number will make him the club's second-highest earner only behind newest recruit Ronaldo. Unai Emery also appeared to confirm Ramsey would stay for the remainder of the campaign.

Amazon has announced the launch of a brand new service on IMDb which lets people stream movies and TV shows for nothing.

IMDb says the Freedive catalogue will continue to evolve, with new titles added regularly.

"With the launch of IMDb Freedive, they can now also watch full-length movies and TV shows on IMDb and all Amazon Fire TV devices for free", IMDb Chief Executive Col Needham said in a statement. The site will also indicate on a film's page if it's available on Freedive.
