Sheriff says missing Wisconsin teen Jayme Closs has been found alive

- Jayme Closs's family was emotional Thursday night after the 13-year-old girl missing since October was found near Gordon, WI.

"Praise the Lord", Allard said between sobs.

Last month, the sheriff's department remained vigilant that Jayme would be found. Sheriff Scott Fitzgerald continued to urge the public to come forward with tips and to keep the story in front of people for as long as possible.

A post on the group late on Thursday read: "We know that emotions are running high with this fabulous news".

Jayme Closs has been missing since her parents were found dead October 15 at the family's home near Barron.

She said she was walking her dog and nearing her cabin when she saw the 13-year-old walking down the road.

"The Voice" singer Chris Kroeze of Barron, Wisconsin posted to his Facebook page after learning the news.

She shared that on her new reality series, one of VIP hosts is bisexual and "people were kind of mean to him about that. "I was the first one who was like, that came out about it, really, for my age", she continued.

Closs has been missing since October 15, when her parents were found murdered in their Barron, Wisconsin home.

Authorities are scheduled to attend a press conference at 10 a.m. Friday in Barron.

Nearly 2,000 volunteers joined in the massive search operation for Jayme, as police pursued thousands of tips, watched dozens of surveillance videos and carried out a huge number of searches.

Jayme was skinny and dirty, wearing shoes too big for her feet, but appeared outwardly OK when she was discovered Thursday afternoon near the small town of Gordon, the neighbors said.

Barron County Sheriff Department deputies arrived at the Closs home within 4 minutes of a 911 call but found no suspects or gun at the scene and no sign of Jayme. She was rescued nine months later with the help of two witnesses who recognised her abductors from the America's Most Wanted television programme. I can't wait to get my arms around her. "I've always been a glass half-full kind of guy", Mr Fitzgerald said at the time. The department's non-emergency line rang unanswered Thursday evening and Sheriff Thomas Dalbec didn't immediately respond to an email. He says knowing she's been found is "unbelievable". "A lot of people have been praying daily, as I have".

"We promised to bring Jayme home and tonight we get to fulfill that promise", the statement concluded.

Thousands of people had joined search parties for Jayme, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation was offering a reward of $25,000 for information on her whereabouts. County buildings dedicated Christmas trees to Jayme, decorating them in her favorite colors and the word "Hope".
