Winter Storm Watch Issued for Extreme Southern Maryland

Moderate snow will fall Friday night into Saturday morning.

Temperatures after the storm will remain near/above freezing during the afternoon, allowing crews to clear roads quickly. In general, more snow is expected along and north of 460.

If you have any travels tonight or tomorrow you will want to give yourself extra time, patience, and caution.

In parts of the 77 corridor and Southside, ice accumulation on top of some accumulations of snow will be possible.

Precipitation will change over to just plain rain across far southern and southeastern Virginia.
