India pair sent packing after controversial TV comments

India pair sent packing after controversial TV comments

During an episode of talk show Koffee with Karan that was televised in India last Sunday, Pandya sparked outrage with his remarks about women in nightclubs.

"We definitely, as the Indian cricket team, don't support views like that".

The controversy has arisen in the build-up to the first of India's three one-day internationals against Australia on Saturday. I have to see how they move first, ' he said.

In reply to the first show-cause notice issued by the BCCI earlier this week, both Pandya and Rahul had apologised for their conduct. "Whether it will be an internal committee of the BCCI or an ad hoc ombudsman who will conduct an inquiry, is yet to be ascertained", the official said. In no way did I mean any disrespect or to hurt anyone's sentiments. After considering their reply, it was decided that the BCCI would proceed against both for misconduct and indiscipline.

After not getting a single game in Test series, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will make a comeback, and thereafter it depends if captain Kohli wants to go in with a three-man pace attack to compensate for Pandya's loss.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Friday reacted on the views represented by teammates Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul in a TV show and said as responsible cricketers they don't align with the views of Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul they were their individual opinions.

Powell repeats pledge to remain 'patient' with rate hikes
At the same time, Powell said there are concerns in financial markets about slowing global growth and rising trade tensions. The balance sheet "will be substantially smaller than it is now", though bigger than it was before the crisis, Powell said.

"The two concerned players have realised what has gone wrong and they have understood the magnitude of what has happened", he said.

The captain has already made it clear that as a side, the Indian team has nothing to do with the comments made by the duo and that his side will stick to its own plans irrespective of the outcome. "Definitely it has to hit anyone hard, they will definitely understand the things that have not gone right". Kohli also posed with the World Cup trophy and ODI series trophy alongside Australian counterpart Aaron Finch.

The 26-year-old Rahul wasn't expected to play at the SCG but Pandya was considered a lock to bat in the middle-order and bowl his seamers.

"Definitely not going to dampen anything that we've achieved", he said. We need to brush up there and improve. Dinesh Karthik, Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav are making their maiden ODI appearance in Australia.

"All these external factors are not going to derail our motivation or the preparation for the World Cup".
