‘Shooting star’ Hudson-Odoi interested in Bayern move - Rudiger

‘Shooting star’ Hudson-Odoi interested in Bayern move - Rudiger

Hudson-Odoi was handed a start in Chelsea's 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

German global Antonio Rudiger admitted Chelsea team-mate Callum Hudson-Odoi has picked his brains over a move to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich keen to sign the 18-year-old Englishman.

According to Sky, Bayern and Chelsea have agreed a transfer of $44.6 million, but it is unclear whether Hudson-Odoi would move in the current Bundesliga transfer window, which closes on January 31, or in July.

Sarri's men are now fourth in the table and will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Tottenham in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final last time out. "He is a young player, a world champions and we are happy to have signed him".

And speaking after Chelsea's under-21 side were knocked out of the Checkatrade Trophy by League One Peterborough United, Edwards urged Hudson-Odoi to stay and make his impact at Stamford Bridge.

Michael Owen states his prediction for West Ham v Arsenal
Callum Wilson is believed to be their primary target, but it would likely take a huge offer to prise him away from Bournemouth. He said: "I think it was very useful for him to play 60 minutes in the FA Cup".

"In the end, I think you're better off with him, a proven centre-forward who is scoring goals this year, rather than makeshift centre-forwards all the time". We'll see about the rest, ' he said.

He said: "We've proposed a contract for quite a while, so we're waiting".

Hudson-Odoi's contract expires in June 2020 and he has apparently been sounding out his Chelsea Berlin-born team-mate Antonio Rudiger. He can develop here but he can develop in Germany as well - and don't forget Bayern Munich are also a big club. It is something he needs to decide.

"He played like a player of 25 or 26 years, I think - very good match of application, very good in the defensive phase, very, very good. He was completely normal in this period".

"It created a lot of confusion, I don't know what they have to do, but they have to explain it properly to the linesmen and referee to us, because if the guy stopped then I don't know why play kept going".
