Meghan Markle's bodyguard quits after only six months

Meghan Markle has made history and sparked unprecedented change in the royal world since marrying Prince Harry last May, so it should come as no surprise that the Duchess of Sussex wanted to mix things up in Prince Harry's life as well.

Meghan's former bodyguard was described as "brilliant" by her colleagues, and she was highly regarded in the force.

She follows personal assistant Melissa Touabti, who departed Kensington Palace past year after six months in the role, and Harry and Meghan's private secretary Samantha Cohen.

The bodyguard, who has not been named for security reasons, has been head of Meghan and Harry's security for less than a year.

Cohen had spent 17 years working for the royal family and was previously the Queen's assistant private secretary and Press spokesperson. It's a real shame as she was a great addition to the team and hugely liked.

Back in November 2018, it was reported that Kate and William, along with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, attended a private dinner for the Royal Foundation. According to royal biographer Andrew Morton, Meghan is very into food: "He loves cooking, exploring new foods, and experimenting with fresh flavours".

He said he supports immigrants who come to the US legally and assimilate, since "the culture of America" matters more than race. One of my most closely held beliefs is that we are all created in God's image and that human life is sacred in all forms.

Meghan cradled her growing baby bump as she wowed in red wearing a £1,085 Sentaler coat and a Babaton by Aritzia dress.

According to The Sun, a Scotland Yard (police service responsible for policing most of London) source said: "Unlike someone who has grown up in the Royal Family and has been used to close protection from an early age, having it can be quite constraining".

It is understood that her Royal Protection Officer was anxious that Meghan wanted to be 'one of the people'.

She had been in an overcrowded market which was deemed a safety threat.

Kensington Palace and the Met Police declined to comment.
