Russell Westbrook makes history with 10th consecutive triple-double

Russell Westbrook reflected on sealing a historic 10th consecutive triple-double in the Oklahoma City Thunder's victory over the Portland Trail Blazers as "an unbelievable moment".

Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook broke a 51-year-old National Basketball Association record when he achieved a triple-double in 10 consecutive games.

Westbrook is averaging a triple-double for the season with 21.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and a league-leading 11.2 assists per game.

On setting the new National Basketball Association record Westbrook thanked his team-mates and God for his achievement. "I've got all the confidence in him". But he told me the situation.

Westbrook was given a standing ovation when he achieved the feat by laying on an assist for Paul George in the final quarter of a 120-111 win.

"There is no other person who has led in triple doubles year after year".

Five-star guard Anthony Edwards commits to Georgia
The shooting guard visited both Georgia and Kentucky but never accepted an invitation to visit Kansas and North Carolina . Edwards would certainly be a huge get for the Bulldogs, as they have not had a five-star enrollee in several years.

George drew "MVP" chants from the crowd as he sealed his third career triple-double, the last coming back in 2014.

After Westbrook drained the 3, he and George met at midcourt, jumping and celebrating together.

Westbrook figured he might as well get a different kind of assist. George scored 21 points and Felton added 15. "The energy was awesome".

"I just go play the game the right way", Westbrook said.

The six-time All-Star admitted he had not realized the landmark was just one assist away. I go out and compete every night and leave it on the floor.

During Westbrook's streak, the Thunder are 9-1, and he is averaging 19.7 points, 13.2 rebounds and 13.8 assists per game. Players can come out and give 20-plus minutes out of the blue like Felton and Burton did tonight, but it's very rare in locker rooms for players to feel empowered to come in and brim with supreme confidence for each of those minutes.
