UEFA Champions League Report: Tottenham Hotspur v Borussia Dortmund 13

Billed as one of the more exciting last-16 ties, the first leg started off a restrained affair as Spurs resolutely held back the Bundesliga leaders in the first half. This time, Maurico Pochettino's side managed to take the lead when on top, as Jan Vertonghen's pinpoint cross was confidently volleyed home by Son in the 47th minute for the opening goal of the tie.

Too soon for that, but Mauricio Pochettino's troops are in an enviable position following their scintillating second-half performance, with Jan Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente also on the scoresheet.

'Maybe he is still not used to the physical intensity during 90 minutes.

Starting XI: Lloris (7); Foyth (7), Sanchez (6), Alderweireld (7); Aurier (7), Sissoko (7), Winks (7), Vertonghen (9*); Eriksen (8); Lucas Moura (7), Son (9). Substitute Fernando Llorente grabbed their third in the 86th.

After a fairly evenly-played but goalless first half, Son scored just over a minute after the break with a superb volleyed finish from Vertonghen's pinpoint accurate cross.

"We were able to keep them quiet in the second half and they weren't able to be clinical".

Broncos Agree To Acquire Joe Flacco From Ravens
With Jackson on a rookie contract, Baltimore should have some of the most cap space in the league in the coming years. The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement to trade quarterback Joe Flacco to the Broncos, according to ESPN .

English fans got their first close-up look at Christian Pulisic, who will join Chelsea this summer, when he started in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League match in London between host Tottenham and his current club, Borussia Dortmund.

Lucien Favre's side were certainly hindered by notable absences, such as Marco Reus and Lukasz Piszczek among others, although in truth, Spurs were certainly deserving of the win.

Ferdinand then went on to say he has tracked Sancho's progress from when he was a young boy with huge talent.

'It didn't come out with that at all in the second half'. Consistently world class for 4 years and is stepping up with Kane out but is never mentioned in a list of the best players in the league.

That is the view of BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand, who praised the England worldwide and says he has been tracking the Borussia Dortmund star since he was young.
