NY billboard attacks Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over Amazon deal

The 29-year-old bartender turned politician was unable to dispute the message on the billboard - that she cost New Yorkers tens of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars of economic activities - so she resorted to attacking the people behind the billboard.

"Thanks for nothing, AOC!" read the billboard, located on 42nd Street near Eighth Avenue.

After Fox News reached out to the Job Creators Network for comment on Ocasio-Cortez's tweets, the Wikipedia page was subsequently edited again and it now includes the line that was in the NY congresswoman's tweet: "It is funded mainly by corporate executives and conservative foundations including the Mercer Family Foundation".

The freshman Democratic New York congresswoman has faced days of criticism from normally friendly media voices and fellow Democrats over her role in Amazon's decision to pull back from building a $2.5 billion campus in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens.

"Billionaires paying to put up anti-progressive propaganda in Times Square is like the obscenely rich version of the scene where Michael Scott points to the Bubba Gump and saying 'This is it, this is the heart of civilization, right here, '" the congresswoman added in another tweet. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez trashed a prominent conservative group Wednesday night for erecting a billboard in New York City's Time Square criticizing the New York Democrat for running Amazon out of her state.

Roseanne Barr has something to say about most things, especially when it comes to politics, so you'd better believe that she's weighing in with her thoughts on much-talked about U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Protests against Amazon popped up in opposition to the deal.

New York Times columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin ripped into critics of the deal, saying it was evidence of a "financial literacy epidemic" in America.

Ocasio-Cortez's response to the billboard was utter nonsense.
