Google Pixel 2 Spotted Running Android Q on Geekbench

It's not clear yet on which other brands and smartphones will be allowed on the Android Q beta programme, more details will be revealed in May at Google's I/O 2019 conference, where Google traditionally showcases beta developer previews of its upcoming flagship Android update.

Adding more phonemakers to the early testing process could help get their devices on newer versions of Android more rapidly. And Google may drop the first Android Q beta as soon as Monday according to a discovery. Every year, around this time Google usually takes the wraps off its latest Android Beta version.

Android Q will nearly certainly be unveiled at the annual Google I/O conference in late Spring/early Summer. Over the weekend, we heard that the beta tests for Android Q will include more devices than the ones that were run for Android Pie, but it's likely that we'll be waiting until Google IO in May to learn which OEMs made the cut. Some of the phones that we saw running the Android 9 Pie early previews including Essential PH-1, Nokia 7 Plus, OnePlus 6, Oppo R15 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ2, Vivo X21 and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.

As Mishaal notes, Google's Android Q Beta Issue Tracker has a default date filter of March 11th.

The SheBelieves Cup winners will debut the home kit against Canada at Manchester City's Academy Stadium on Friday, 5 April.

The developers did not state which companies will be participating in the Android 10 beta, apart from the manufacturers who participated in the programme past year.

Well, all the above developments reflect that Android Q Beta is finally paving its way for the general public and that too with more smartphone support.

"At Google I/O [2018], when we did the first beta, we had all these companies lined up and that was really that unbelievable", Malchev said. The number is bigger for the upcoming Android release, but we don't quite know the OEMs involved just yet. "But the trend is positive and strong, and I am very happy about this". I can not share the exact numbers yet.
