Singer R. Kelly released from jail after paying child support

Following the previous detention on sexual abuse charges, singer R Kelly was again taken into custody on Wednesday after failing to pay $161,000 that he owed as payment to his ex-wife and their three children.

He was released on Saturday (March 9) after forking over the $161,633 he owed his ex-wife, Drea Kelly.

Sophia Ansari, a spokeswoman for Cook County Sheriff's Department, which operates the jail, did not immediately know who paid the back child support.

The platinum-selling star exited Chicago's Cook County Jail around noon on Saturday, reports The Chicago Tribune, noting that Kelly was accompanied by an unidentified man. "That is all I can say right now". He spent three days behind bars because he was unable to post $100k bond or 10% of his $1 million bail.

It's unclear who has paid his bond this time around.

Suarez, McDowell get physical after NASCAR qualifying
We all kind of waited until the end, and then just had a lot of traffic, so it was just unfortunate. "He killed me in one corner". Both drivers were eliminated after the first stage, and when Suarez walked over to McDowell on pit road, a short fight broke out.

"I was disgusted and horrified when I saw that", Dennis said.

In his explosive interview with "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King, he said he only had $350,000 left in his bank account.

Another source, who is said to be a friend of Kelly's, claims, "His financial situation is probably a new low for any celebrity". There might be their 15 minutes of fame or whatever, but we could all make our own judgments about whether people are saying things because they are true or because they want their fame, or whatever the reason is. "I'm fighting for my f***ing life!" he said through tears, before flying into rage. I've given you 30 years of my f****g career!

'Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me.

Of course, even though he's free from jail today, it's FAR from the end for Kelly in court; the singer is still facing a whopping ten counts of aggravated sexual abuse in Chicago, and other sexual misconduct allegations are triggering investigations elsewhere right now, too. More than an hour after Kelly entered the closed court hearing, he was led away in handcuffs, accompanied by Cook County sheriff's deputies. His attorney, Steve Greenberg, said he could not discuss the child support payment because of a judge's gag order in that case.
