Kim Jones Tells Emotional, Personal Story About Odell Beckham Jr

Shortly after Tuesday's blockbuster trade between the Giants and Browns, Odell Beckham Jr. told ESPN's Josina Anderson that he still had a lot to process about the trade.

There are zero indications the Cowboys ever even entertained the notion of working a deal for Beckham, or that the Giants would ever trade him within their division so he'd face them twice a season.

However, it appears that the Beckham trade is the one that really sent him over the wall. That said, Beckham will be a more regular opponent for the Patriots in the coming years now that he's in the AFC. Their best wideout, and one of the very best in the NFL.

It's been a rough start to the new league year for the Giants, who have a lot of work to do. Beckham, meanwhile, has caught 390 passes for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns in his five seasons (59 games). Landon Collins has also headed to the division rival Washington Redskins in free agency, with Peppers now as the obvious replacement (and downgrade) at free safety.

The Giants are GOING FOR IT ALL, clearly.

I'm honestly baffled by Gettleman and the Giants front office lack of awareness to the fact that they had a window to build a contender with their core of players in their 20's, including last year's rookie sensation Saquon Barkley.

So congrats to the New York Giants front office on blowing the chance at building a championship contender this offseason just three days into it.
