Beto O'Rourke Announces His Bid For Presidency In US 2020 Election

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office Thursday, Trump says of the Texas congressman: "Well, I think he's got a lot of hand movement".

Following months of speculation, O'Rourke announced that he would be seeking the Democratic nomination for the presidency in 2020 and opted for his campaign slogan to be "Beto for America", which boldly appears on his newly-minted campaign website. "We were able to raise a million dollars in just the first 48 hours after I announced, and I'm running my own race", Klobuchar said. For his part, Trump said he was ready for anyone. O'Rourke's policies of open borders, abolishing Immigration and Custom Enforcement (I.C.E.), and supporting single-payer government run healthcare are a snippet of the many problems with his candidacy and are clear examples of exactly what our nation needs to avoid.

In his interview with Vanity Fair, Beto O'Rourke also said that he was "born to do this", referring to his bid to be elected as the 46 president of the United State.

"And we should ensure that there are lawful paths to work, to be with family and to flee persecution", said O'Rourke, who was narrowly defeated when trying to replace Republican Senator Ted Cruz in the November mid-term elections.

O'Rourke told the Iowa crowd: "I could care less about your party persuasion, your religion, anything other than the fact that, right now, we are all Americans".

O'Rourke has three days of campaign events in Iowa planned and has promised to travel the country listening to would-be voters.

After Cruz defeated O'Rourke, the former congressman revealed that he was mulling over running for president in 2020, despite repeatedly claiming that it was a "definitive no" regarding whether he would run or not.

Some of these same lawmakers campaigned for O'Rourke in his bid to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz. Since then, his blend of Kennedy-esque looks, easygoing charisma and bipartisan optimism has helped his national political star burn brighter.
