Jeremy Renner to Star in Hawkeye Series (With a Twist!) at Disney+

From Variety, the project is being described as an "adventure series", and will feature two Hawkeyes for the price of one.

Variety is reporting that Jeremy Renner (Avengers: Endgame) will be reprising his Hawkeye character in a series now in development at Disney+.

Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye is the latest Marvel character to get his own Disney series. Marvel Studios is also developing "The Vision and Scarlet Witch" and another one starring Anthony Mackie's Falcon and Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier.

Sadly, it does sound like, if we have a story seeing Barton passing the torch to Kate Bishop, that it's pretty much confirming his survival in Avengers: Endgame.

Khashoggi family denies settlement with Saudi govt
The State Department previously revoked the visas of almost two dozen Saudi officials and froze the assets of 17 others. Salah Khashoggi sought to cast doubt on that sequence, saying that "no settlement discussion has been or is discussed".

The mantle will be handed to Kate Bishop, "a member of the Young Avengers and has starred in the Avengers series from Matt Fraction and Alex Aja".

It has not yet been announced who will play Kate in the potential series, though it's been speculated that the character will make her debut in the forthcoming Avengers: Endgame film, which comes to theaters on April 26. This is absolutely hilarious to me, as some deeply cynical fans have been predicting the character's death ever since he underwhelmed audiences in the first Avengers movie. Renner last appeared in 2016's "Captain America: Civil War", but will return in "Endgame".
