Nexus 6P owners will finally receive compensation from Google and Huawei

Nexus 6P owners will finally receive compensation from Google and Huawei

Back in the year 2015-2016, some Nexus 6P users reportedly faced problems of never-ending boot-loops because of the faulty chipsets.

If the court verdict on May 9th came in favor of plaintiffs, Nexus 6P users in the U.S. who bought the device on September 25th, 2015 and onward would be qualified to claim repayment. In fact, Nexus 6P users have been reporting that their smartphones are going into a bootloop mode which renders the devices useless and neither Google nor Huawei wanted to take responsibility for that. Luckily, it seems a class action lawsuit might solve this problem.

The two companies will be paying out $9.75 million or up to $400 per customer.

If you own a Nexus 6P and have had to put up with battery-related issues during your time with the device, you may have received very good news this week. If we talk about the previous case, LG had to pay $425 per user regarding the same class action issue on their premium devices.

The Nexus 6P has had polarizing effects on its users; while some of its users have fond memories about the smartphone, for others it turned out to be a nightmare. Google and Huawei have been sued twice regarding the issues with the Nexus 6P, and now, owners of those faulty smartphones are entitled to a chunk of cash.

U.S. governor signs foetal heartbeat law, setting stage for legal challenges

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are down for many users
Last month, they had attributed it to a "server configuration change". "Not good for those who do social media work, like me".

There are two issues at the crux of the lawsuit.

Don't worry even though, if you don't have proper documentation but if you claim to have these issues then still you will get $75 from the settlement.

The Nexus 6P smartphone users have filed a class action lawsuit and has been in the work since April 2017. The first alleges that a battery issue would cause the Nexus 6P to power down when the battery gauge still showed anywhere from 10-60 percent of battery life remaining. Anyhow, if you bought a Nexus 6P with any of these issues, watch out for a mail or letter that Huawei or Google could send in order to claim the settlement amount.

By proving documentation of bootloops, you can get $325 settlement.

Unfortunately, because the terms of the settlement include a fixed amount of money, the number of people who will submit a valid claim is the deciding factor of the exact compensation owed to each individual user.
