Pistons' Blake Griffin likely to miss first-round series with Bucks

Still, this result wasn't just about the Pistons' comparatively lesser talent, or a truly very bad performance from them to open the series, but the startlingly ruthless efficiency the Bucks showed in tearing them apart. Per Goodwill, there is a "slim chance" Griffin appears this weekend for the Pistons, who will reportedly list him as day to day for the rest of the series.

Griffin has struggled with a left knee injury for several weeks now, missing four of Detroit's final seven games and the club's Game 1 defeat at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. The good news for Griffin and the Pistons is that there is no structural damage in the knee, though it's not known at this time if any sort of surgery will be needed over the offseason.

Injuries reported in MS from tornado
Authorities say a possible tornado has touched down in western MS , causing damage to several businesses and vehicles. By late Saturday, the storms were expected to organize into a line as they cross the western border of Mississippi.

Heading into Game 2, Griffin would have had ten days off but the team fears the left knee could swell up again as it did during his earlier in the season when he played after resting three games.

"Griffin played 75 games in his first full season in Detroit - his most since 2013-14 - and the organization wants to preserve his health for the long term because he's under contract until 2021-22", Goodwill reported. He was acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers in January 2018. With a career-high points average of 24.5 points along with 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists, he led the team to 41 wins and their first postseason appearance since 2016.
