SYFY WIRE learned about the upcoming show at its Star Wars Celebration panel led by writer Jon Favreau, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, and director Dave Filoni - as well as surprise appearances by cast members Pascal, Carano, and Weathers.

Judging by a slew of new images, jaded fanboys might actually give this one a pass.

Disney debuted four new stills and teaser footage at this morning's The Mandalorian panel at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago. You may have been able to infer that from the helmet alone. Carano plays a character named Cara Dune, an ex-Rebel Shock Trooper.

A trailer for the project was also screened.
