'Game of Thrones': Rob McElhenney cameos in Season 8 premiere

GAME OF THRONES' final season premiere was watched by a record 17.4 million viewers Sunday night, April 14, across HBO's platforms (linear, HBOGO and HBO NOW), exceeding the previous series high of 16.9 million viewers for the season seven finale.

Last week, we tried to predict the final ratings for the Season 8 premiere of Game of Thrones, "Winterfell".

"Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington said kissing co-star Emilia Clarke was "odd" because she's close with his wife, former "Game of Thrones" actress Rose Leslie.

Speaking on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the actress - who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the hit fantasy series - revealed she told her mother, but thinks her secret is safe with her.

But ensuing rounds of 75 and 73 would derail those hopes, leading to a disappointing week for the world's sixth-ranked player. According to, the first green jacket was awarded in 1949, fifteen years after the initial tournament.

There were questions about his ability to win a major tournament, but those have all ended following the Masters victory. Woods increased his total of Masters wins to five and boosted his major-championship tally to 15.

Finally, Kit mentioned meeting wife Rose Leslie on Game of Thrones and their plans for the future now that the story is over. "But I have always had people around who have been truthful with me and put me right".

We've arguably seen shades of a "Mad Queen Daenerys" before when she gets too roast-happy. He added to Esquire magazine: "But the weirdest bit was when we came off set and they started taking the costume off and it felt like being skinned". In a rather anticlimactic scene, Sam Tarly (John Bradley), and old friend of Jon's, catches Jon up on what audiences have known for a while - Jon is not a bastard and is actually the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. "Jon Snow learns in the first episode that he's the rightful heir to the throne", Wenzel said. But I was shocked at all of the excitement about the show's return. In any case, it should be interesting to see how the Northern Alliance react to Jaime's arrival, and whether Tyrion, Brienne Of Tarth, or even Bran Stark might vouch for his importance.

When Jon Snow takes Daenerys off to a snowy waterfall to presumably have some sexy times, it's a reference to Jon and Ygritte's cave (used for the same purposes) back in Season 3, episode 5. Is Sam over the death of his father and brother?
