IOS 13 will bring a huge dark mode update to iPhone

WWDC typically reveals some of the new key features that will arrive on iPhones and iPads in September, but we've already got an idea of a couple of the updates that should come with iOS 13 thanks to a report from 9to5Mac.

That's because iOS 13, the iOS update expected later this year, will finally add a system-wide dark mode, according to a new report from 9to5Mac.

Additionally, Safari for iPad on iOS 13 will automatically request a desktop version of websites when necessary, while the new Mail app will organize messages into searchable categories, and reportedly feature a "read later" queue.

The system-wide Dark Mode can be enabled in Settings, delivering a high contrast look similar to macOS. iPad apps running on Mac (via Marzipan) will also use Dark Mode on both operating systems.

We already heard the implementation of a system-wide Dark Mode for iOS devices that would be similar to what arrived on Mac machines through macOS 10.14 Mojave previous year.

But ensuing rounds of 75 and 73 would derail those hopes, leading to a disappointing week for the world's sixth-ranked player. According to Golf.com, the first green jacket was awarded in 1949, fifteen years after the initial tournament.

Also on the agenda for iOS 13: new multitasking features for iPad, an improved Mail app, and a new "undo" gesture. Currently, iPhone and iPad users have to physically shake their device to undo.

Generally, the iOS 13 update seems to be geared towards various productivity functions and is focusing on new gestures.

IPad users will also be treated to a new undo gesture; now, iOS users have to physically shake their device to undo, but with iOS 13, iPad users will be able to perform a three-finger tap on the keyboard area, after which sliding left and right will allow users to undo and redo actions. This will help users differentiate between multiple Split View windows.

Apple will also improve the multitasking experience on the iPad with iOS 13. Further, font management on iOS 13 is also said to receive a major upgrade with a dedicated panel to manage fonts. Furthermore, the "Hey Siri" rejection for noises such as laughter will be improved, and the new iOS version would get support for keyboards and dictation, and expanded in-app printing controls.
